{"id":11259,"date":"2024-07-03T10:36:04","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T08:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oficinaeconomicagalicia.xunta.gal\/promoting-sustainable-mobility-in-galicia\/"},"modified":"2024-07-03T10:36:04","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T08:36:04","slug":"promoting-sustainable-mobility-in-galicia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oficinaeconomicagalicia.xunta.gal\/en\/promoting-sustainable-mobility-in-galicia\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting sustainable mobility in Galicia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\"><em>The Xunta will support automotive auxiliary companies with \u20ac18M to be more competitive in the current context of energy transition<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">The Xunta will soon launch a new line of contributions, endowed with 18 million euros, to help auxiliary companies in the automotive sector to be more competitive and adapt to the transition process that this industry is experiencing towards more sustainable mobility, marked by the extension of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">This is a key sector for Galicia, composed of auxiliary or automotive component companies that generate 25,000 jobs in the Community, and which faces the great challenge of adapting to European regulations that establish 2035 as the deadline for there to be no polluting vehicles on the market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">This new aid programme contributes to meeting companies&#8217; expenses this very year, with a first line of support aimed at addressing both equipment expenditure and the development of future projects. The support, in non-competitive concurrence, covers up to 70% of these eligible expenses, executed from 1 January until the date of submission of the application, with a maximum of 300,000 euros. Among the initiatives that may receive contributions are the <strong>purchase of machinery<\/strong>, <strong>refurbishment of production facilities<\/strong> or <strong>consultancy expenses<\/strong> to advance in this transition process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Likewise, the programme includes a second line of support of between 35% and 55% of the costs of companies&#8217; actions towards the <strong>development of energy efficiency and renewable projects<\/strong> up to a maximum of \u20ac700,000. In this case, they are focused on actions such as the implementation of thermal or electrical energies (photovoltaic or mini-wind panels) or making energy efficiency improvements in the facilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">The automotive sector is facing one of the biggest transformations in its history, in which just transition or electrification are central points of the paradigm shift. The European Union has set 2035 as the date for new cars and vans on the market to be zero-emission. In this context, the Xunta reinforces its commitment to a sector declared strategic for Galicia&#8217;s economy, seeking to make automotive companies more efficient, safe and
