According to her, it will make nearly 157,000 m\u00b2 more land available to the productive sector with an investment exceeding 13 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>As she explained, with this expansion the total gross area of the industrial estate will increase from 190,554 m\u00b2 to 347,239 m\u00b2 \u201cwhich represents an 82% increase in the current capacity of the estate,\u201d she emphasised. \u201cWe want to adapt land development as much as possible to the real needs of businesses,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In this vein, Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas Lorenzana reiterated the autonomous government\u2019s concern for industrial development in parts of Galicia like A Estrada, where there is demand and potential for land development and also stressed the importance of \u201cinvesting time and money wisely in developing industrial estates\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She took the opportunity to explain that in 2025 the autonomous government launched new business land-use figures such as the Business Project and Land Acceleration Zones (Zapes) and Rural Industrial Zones (ZIR), which reduce development times and facilitate private initiatives to develop business areas where there is real demand from promoters.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the minister said the Xunta is already working on measures to make the acquisition of available business land in Galicia more flexible and cheaper by 2026.<\/p>\n<h2>More Business Land in Pontevedra<\/h2>\n<p>This initiative is part of the Xunta\u2019s strategy to create a strong and competitive business fabric by providing more business land based on a model of orderly, efficient, and environmentally respectful industrial development that attracts investment, promotes job creation, and guarantees territorial balance.<\/p>\n<p>In the province of Pontevedra, nearly three million square metres of business land are currently being processed. Specifically, this includes the Fragamoreira business park (Poio), the expansion of the Campi\u00f1o industrial estate (Pontevedra), the Louredo park (Mos-Redondela), the expansion of the Pousadoiro Business Park (Vilagarc\u00eda de Arousa), and the expansion of the MI of PLISAN (Salvaterra-As Neves). Additionally, the urbanisation project for the Lal\u00edn 2000 industrial estate and the reurbanisation project for the Transport Hub and Intermodal Terminal of Ponte Caldelas are also
