With both officials, the Minister discussed reciprocal investment opportunities between Galicia and the Nordic country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The Minister noted that Norway currently ranks 33rd among Galicia\u2019s export destinations, mainly importing motor vehicles, mineral and metalworking products, while highlighting the growth in exports from Galicia\u2019s forestry\u2011wood and shipbuilding industries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">According to Lorenzana, bilateral trade between Galicia and Norway reached \u20ac96.1\u202fmillion in 2024, with a positive trade balance and a stable number of regular exporters, around 90. Specifically, last year 232 Galician companies sold their products and services in Norway, 82 of which export regularly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">By March 2025, Galician exports to Norway had reached \u20ac25.5\u202fmillion, with 126 companies operating there, 57 of them regular exporters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Lorenzana emphasised Galicia\u2019s commitment to attracting investment in sectors linked to the green economy and renewable energy, reflecting the regional government\u2019s determination to make better use of natural resources to reduce energy costs and increase industrial competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">In this regard, she stressed that Norway in particular is a benchmark and a model to follow in offshore wind energy, opening up reciprocal business opportunities for the shipbuilding, metalworking and energy sectors. She also pointed out that Norway, like Galicia, has a consolidated forestry industry, offering potential for further growth in the export of treated wood for outdoor use and sustainable construction or interior design solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Other sectors with growth potential, as highlighted in the meetings, include agri\u2011food and aquaculture, as well as construction, given Norway\u2019s commitment to sustainable development and connectivity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Lorenzana expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from the Ambassador and the Chief Commercial Attach\u00e9 at Spain\u2019s Economic and Commercial Office, and for their willingness to collaborate in fostering commercial and economic synergies between the two
