For the first time in the institute\u2019s history, fifteen different aid lines were opened in January, later joined by four specific programmes to support internationalisation \u2014 in total, 19 support measures mobilising over \u20ac186\u202fmillion. \u201cNever before has so much been deployed, so quickly and so strategically, for Galician companies,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Her address, structured around four pillars \u2014 financing, competitiveness, innovation and internationalisation \u2014 outlined a comprehensive portfolio of initiatives \u201caimed at full coverage, based on the conviction that the best economic policy is to stand alongside businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The new financial model activated by Igape combines direct loans, guaranteed credit lines and interest subsidies, mobilising more than \u20ac115\u202fmillion in public resources. The Igape direct loan line, endowed with \u20ac50\u202fmillion, offers very advantageous interest rates and allows the financing of strategic projects in innovation, internationalisation, working capital and corporate restructuring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Meanwhile, the credit access line aims to formalise more than a thousand operations and put \u20ac150\u202fmillion in credit into circulation, with subsidies of up to 1.8\u202fpoints. Moreover, a specific line has been launched for large companies in the province of A\u202fCoru\u00f1a within the framework of the Just Transition\u202fFund, alongside debt renewal facilities and interest allowances for operations financed through European or public instruments.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 mt-4 font-display font-semimedium text-base first:mt-0\">Boosting competitiveness<\/h2>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">In the field of business competitiveness, Igape has implemented measures worth \u20ac46\u202fmillion. Among them are the business implantation line (\u20ac12\u202fmillion), offering up to 35% grants for both tangible and intangible investment, and a line to support equipment investment (\u20ac10\u202fmillion).<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">To foster innovative entrepreneurship, Toca highlighted the renewed start\u2011up support programme with a budget of \u20ac1.5\u202fmillion. Additionally, \u20ac3\u202fmillion is allocated to digital transformation and \u20ac700,000 to multidisciplinary workshops. Business clusters benefit from a dedicated line financing cooperation, internationalisation, training and shared innovation plans.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 mt-4 font-display font-semimedium text-base first:mt-0\">Strategic innovation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Building on this foundation, Toca stressed that Igape has launched a pioneering set of programmes to promote innovation within the productive fabric, totalling over \u20ac15\u202fmillion in this first quarter. The IA360\u202fprogramme (\u20ac10.2\u202fmillion) is aimed at introducing artificial intelligence to SMEs through both proprietary technological development and integration of commercial tools and training initiatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">She continued by noting that the Igape\u202fInnova line supports digital transformation projects, product design and production efficiency, while Ticket\u202fInnova provides simple, agile access to innovation for smaller SMEs. These three programmes, she added, are part of the institute\u2019s new Business Innovation\u202fArea, whose mission is to coordinate partners, connect resources and build networks within Galicia\u2019s\u202fR&amp;D&amp;I\u202fecosystem.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 mt-4 font-display font-semimedium text-base first:mt-0\">Commitment to internationalisation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Toca also stressed Igape\u2019s continued commitment to internationalisation, with \u20ac12.5\u202fmillion dedicated this year to supporting Galician companies\u2019 entry into foreign markets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Through Galicia\u202fExporta\u202fEmpresas (\u20ac8.3\u202fmillion), SMEs can obtain funds for participation in international fairs, overseas marketing campaigns or digitalisation projects geared towards exports. The Galicia\u202fExporta\u202fOrganismos\u202fIntermedios line (\u20ac1.5\u202fmillion) promotes collective international promotion campaigns, while FOEXGA\u202f(\u20ac2.38\u202fmillion) facilitates joint participation at events via the chambers of commerce. Large enterprises have a specific FOEXGA\u202fline (\u20ac250,000) aimed at driving SME participation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">In addition, Igape\u2019s network of international antennas provides on\u2011the\u2011ground support in strategic markets such as Mexico, the\u202fUnited\u202fStates, Morocco, China, Japan and the\u202fUAE, acting as advanced delegations that provide \u201cthe first point of contact for Galician companies entering new countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Altogether, these offices cover a potential market of over two\u202fbillion consumers. Work is ongoing to open two new ones \u2014 the first in\u202fBrazil to strengthen ties with the Latin\u202fAmerican\u202fmarket, and another currently under assessment.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 mt-4 font-display font-semimedium text-base first:mt-0\">Xesgalicia and the Economic Office<\/h2>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Toca also highlighted the role of\u202fXesgalicia, with available investment balances of\u202f\u20ac140\u202fmillion and an impact that exceeds its financial input: \u201cEach operation attracts more than twice as much private investment.\u201d Examples such as\u202fFandicosta,\u202fMarsan\u202fand\u202fSabor\u202fde\u202fMar illustrate its stabilising role, while start\u2011ups like\u202fUARX\u202fSPACE\u202fand\u202fCentum showcase its support for disruptive innovation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Finally, she stressed that all this extensive framework is complemented by the\u202fEconomic\u202fOffice\u202fof\u202fGalicia, which is becoming a key contact point for companies: over\u202f21,000\u202fenquiries handled,\u202f950\u202fmeetings\u202forganised and\u202f200\u202fprojects\u202fadvised since its creation in\u202fApril\u202f2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">\u201cThis is an initiative designed to streamline relations between companies and the administration,\u201d the director summarised, \u201cremoving bureaucratic obstacles and providing a comprehensive advisory and support service.
