The ICT sector\u00a0accounts for\u00a043% of the proposals, followed by\u00a0food, engineering, biotechnology, health, energy, and logistics. The other two\u00a0lines of this\u00a0aid package &#8211;\u00a0for the implementation\u00a0of commercial\u00a0AI solutions\u00a0and data management\u00a0projects, and\u00a0for training\u00a0actions &#8211; still\u00a0have the application\u00a0deadline open\u00a0until 31 October.<\/p>\n<p>The minister\u00a0emphasised that\u00a0Galicia has an\u00a0increasingly\u00a0dynamic innovation\u00a0and entrepreneurship\u00a0system. In fact, she said, it\u00a0consolidates\u00a0as the sixth\u00a0hub of innovation\u00a0and entrepreneurship\u00a0in Spain, only\u00a0behind Madrid, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Basque Country, and Andalusia. It has 388 technological\u00a0and innovative\u00a0companies, 26% more than the\u00a0previous year, of which 229\u00a0are startups, representing\u00a0a 44% increase\u00a0compared to\u00a02024. These companies\u00a0generate nearly\u00a02,900 qualified\u00a0jobs and exceed\u00a0\u20ac290 million\u00a0in annual turnover.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, Lorenzana stressed\u00a0that \u201cbusiness\u00a0and administration\u00a0are not two different\u00a0teams, but one.\u201d Under this\u00a0premise, she\u00a0highlighted the\u00a0work of the Economic\u00a0Office of Galicia, with nearly\u00a030,000 consultations\u00a0in a year and\u00a0a half of existence, \u201cto make things\u00a0easier for companies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe business\u00a0projects that\u00a0grow, are born, or settle in\u00a0Galicia are another\u00a0vote in favour\u00a0of the Galician\u00a0economy and a\u00a0recognition of\u00a0our political, social, and\u00a0institutional\u00a0stability,\u201d she\u00a0underscored,\u00a0emphasising:\u00a0\u201cIt is true that\u00a0in Galicia there\u00a0are still minority\u00a0sectors that, faced with any\u00a0industrial initiative, react against\u00a0it.
