In particular, he highlighted the importance of supporting family businesses like this one, which represent 94% of the Galician productive base and constitute the backbone of the region\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">Decided support for the timber and wood sector<\/h2>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">The head of the Xunta reaffirmed the regional government\u2019s commitment to the timber value chain and sustainability. In this regard, he recalled the recent approval of the Master Plan for the Timber and Wood Industry 2026\u20132028, endowed with 114 million euros and 88 measures aimed at consolidating Galicia as a national and international benchmark in this field.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">Likewise, he referred to the launch of the new call for aid under the XERA-Madeira programme, with a budget of 5 million euros to promote the use of this material in new works, refurbishments and renovations of warehouses, premises and homes, a pioneering initiative in Spain. \u201cPeople need to see that wood, with current treatments and techniques and with companies like this, has enormous possibilities with nothing to envy any other construction technique or any other material,\u201d Rueda said.
