In this context, she noted that behind a garment, a collection or a brand lies a value chain encompassing \u201cbusiness, industry, technology, internationalisation, employment, talent and the capacity to innovate\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">The Director highlighted Galicia\u2019s considerable tradition and business expertise in fashion, as well as an ecosystem comprising large companies, SMEs, emerging brands, designers, suppliers and professionals. She stressed that this established base is an advantage when it comes to addressing the sector\u2019s new challenges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">Toca Car\u00fas explored a broad concept of innovation, which involves not only creating something new but also transforming what businesses already do well. In this respect, she identified opportunities including the adoption of new materials and processes, the digitalisation of production, new ways of marketing and engaging with consumers, sustainability, market expansion and new brand-building strategies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">She also placed this process within the objective of \u201cindustrialising innovation\u201d: bringing good ideas to market so that they can become businesses and projects capable of growing, competing and generating economic activity and employment. To achieve this, she highlighted the importance of having ecosystems that connect different perspectives and areas of knowledge throughout the value chain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4
