Monforte de Lemos (Lugo), 7 October 2025

The territorial delegate of Lugo, Javier Arias, visited the food company Entrepán in Monforte de Lemos to explain some of the Xunta’s programmes aimed at boosting the growth of the province’s business fabric.

Among them is the Igape-Pemes credit access line for small and medium-sized enterprises, from which this Monforte firm benefited for the acquisition of an industrial warehouse. These incentives aim to encourage SMEs to start new businesses or consolidate existing business initiatives.

Entrepán also received support from the Galician Energy Institute (Inega) to develop an energy-saving project, consisting of the installation of a photovoltaic solar energy system with a power of 50.140 kW on its premises.

With this measure, Inega promotes self-consumption in Galician companies to reduce costs and achieve greater energy efficiency. Arias highlighted the commitment of companies driving these projects to innovation and sustainability.

Finally, the delegate emphasised the progress represented by the launch of the Oficina Económica de Galicia in terms of simplifying relations between the Xunta and the productive fabric. It functions as a single window of centralised attention, offering entrepreneurs and companies technical advice, feasibility analysis, access to financing, administrative coordination, and support for the final implementation of projects. In its first year of operation, the office handled more than 26,800 enquiries and held nearly 1,300 business advisory meetings.
