industrial projects
The regional legislation regulates two figures aimed at promoting industrial projects in Galicia with the objective of contributing to their execution in the shortest possible time, through accompaniment and advice to investment promoters during the necessary administrative procedures, as well as the simplification and streamlining of said procedures.
List of approved initiatives
To date, the Council of the Xunta has declared the following priority business initiatives:
- Construction of a new production plant in PLISAN, promoted by Hijos de Carlos Albo, S.L.U.
- Construction of a technology campus, promoted by Aluminios Cortizo, S.A.U.
- Installation of a drying tower and butter-oil line, promoted by Oviganic Ibérica, S.L.
- Construction of a new composting plant in Vilanova de Arousa, promoted by Sogama, S.A.
- Expansion of the processing plant and technological improvements in the meat industry, promoted by Novafrigsa, S.A.
- Installation of a multimold factory in Vilalba (Lugo), promoted by Queserías Entrepinares, S.A.U.
- Construction of two floor-reared hen houses, installation of a poultry manure composting plant and photovoltaic installation in Palas de Rei, promoted by Granja Campomayor S.L.
- Development of a next-generation coffee production plant, promoted by Cafés Candelas, S.L.
- Expansion of the canning industry in Ribeira, promoted by Ignacio González Montes, S.A.
- Development of a plant for the recovery of reject material in As Somozas–A Coruña, promoted by Valogreene Recinor, S.L.
- Construction of an advanced research center (e-Mobility) in Nigrán – Pontevedra, promoted by Borgwarner Emissions Systems Spain S.L.
- Construction of an integrated biotechnology plant for the production of plant-based proteins in Curtis - A Coruña, promoted by In Proteins for All, S.L.
- Development of a biomethane production plant for grid injection, under a circular economy model through the management and recovery of organic waste in Lamabranca-Lugo, promoted by Bioenergía Lugo, S.L.
- Blueberry cultivation with handling and packaging industry in Teixeiro, promoted by Berries Passion S.L.
- Construction of a biomethane and fertilizer production plant in the Teixeiro-Curtis industrial estate (A Coruña) promoted by Bioetanol Galicia S.A.
- Renewable hydrogen production plant with CO2 capture and green methanol synthesis, called Green Meiga, promoted by Iberdrola Clientes S.A.
- Development of a biogas production plant for obtaining liquefied biomethane, promoted by Agroamb Prodalt, S.L.
- Development of an eco-healthy plant with universal accessibility for the production of next-generation bakery products, promoted by Hornos de Lamastelle, S.A.
- Construction of a "Power-to-Liquid (PtL)" industrial plant for the production of synthetic hydrocarbons in Curtis - A Coruña, called Breogán Project, promoted by Greenalia S.A.
- Development of a green hydrogen processing plant and its green ammonia carrier, with a terminal for storage and dispatch, called Ahmon Project, promoted by Armonía Green Galicia, S.L.
- Development of a biomethane production plant for grid injection, under a circular economy model through the management and recovery of organic waste in A Laracha-A Coruña, promoted by Bioenergía A Coruña, S.L.
- Development of an injectable medicines manufacturing plant in Monforte de Lemos, promoted by Kern Pharma, S.L.
