In the Ribeiro comarca and located 27 km from Ourense, the town of Cenlle is connected by the Rías Baixas motorway, A-25, and by the N-120 road. Its main activity is winemaking under the Ribeiro Designation of Origin and it is part of the Regional Government of Galicia's Strategy for the economic, territorial and touristic revitalisation of the wine-producing regions by the Xunta de Galicia. In addition, the council has the first model village in Galicia in Osmos, a pioneering initiative of the regional administration that aims to put into production, in a sustainable way, the abandoned lands with high productive capacity that surround the population centres, this contributing to the creation of agricultural and livestock activity and the reduction of the risk of fires.
