The primary sector is particularly important in Guntín, with an extensive area of natural meadows, land for forestry use and farmland. In the latter, the most notable crop is green peppers, which are marketed under the Protected Geographical Indication "Pemento de Mougán". There is also a long tradition of livestock farming in the municipality, with farms divided between dairy and meat production.
