The Xunta de Galicia will breath new life into the south-eastern Ourense province, the area in which this municipality is located, through a comprehensive plan aimed at its recovery, revitalisation and enhancement. The main economic activities of this municipality are agriculture and livestock farming, construction and transport.
The Pousada estate is located in the municipality and the land is currently on public display. It has an agreement signed with the Regional Ministry for the Rural Environment to identify, recover and promote the forest wealth by promoting the cultivation of chestnut trees and the use of the different varieties of fruit through the Riós Agroforestry Development Centre.
