It has three industrial estates, including the business park of San Cibrao das Viñas, the oldest in Galicia, only 10 km from the capital of Ourense. It has a surface area of 4.8 km², and is home to companies dedicated to production sectors such as chemicals, iron and steel, food and distribucion.
In addition to the Barreiros industrial estate, which brings together more than a hundred companies from different sectors, the Parque Tecnológico de Galicia, Tecnópole, is also located in this council. This entity is responsible for managing infrastructure, space, resources and capacity for companies and entrepreneurs who use innovation and knowledge as a tool for growth.
