Sarria is the fifth most populated municipality in the province of Lugo. It heads an extensive area of land which is largely dedicated to livestock farming and agricultural use. It is also noted for furniture manufacture and tourism, mainly due to the fact that it is located in the middle of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela.
It has almost 375,000m² of industrial space in the Morelle business park.
