O Porriño (Pontevedra), 4 September 2025
The Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, took part this morning in the meeting ‘We Talk about Industry: Innovation and Growth in O Porriño’, where she announced the increase by 2.5 million euros of the aid allocated to improving the infrastructure of Galician business parks.
During her speech, the minister explained that these grants were announced in February with a budget of three million euros and, “due to their positive reception, we decided to increase their funding so that those municipalities which were unable to access the aid previously can now do so,” she said.
In this vein, she highlighted that the 2025 call has already benefited more than 40 Galician business parks and that now “we want to go further and respond to the new needs of these facilities to modernise them and offer a service that favours the establishment and location of companies and promotes local employment,” she stressed.
Thus, this aid “contributes to the modernisation and competitiveness of industrial estates” and makes it easier for companies to have the services and infrastructures they need to carry out their activity.
The Minister for Economy and Industry also reiterated the Galician Government’s commitment to the development of industrial land, the boosting of business activity and the attraction of investment, all with the aim of anchoring industry and attracting wealth to Galicia.
The aid scheme
The Official Journal of Galicia (DOG) today publishes the increase in funding for this call for grants, which are competitive and aimed at Galician municipalities wishing to make improvements relating to the implementation of efficient public lighting, water treatment plants, waste management, road infrastructure, as well as centralised supply services for gas and green hydrogen.
The aid covers up to 80% of costs up to a maximum of 120,000 euros for individual applications and 138,000 euros for joint applications. Furthermore, advances of up to 25% of the aid granted are also envisaged.
