The Councillor for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, highlighted Galicia’s potential to position itself at the forefront of technology and innovation. With this aim in mind, she said, her department has made business innovation one of the central pillars of action, with 47 million euros in grants within the Igape budget for 2026, which are already open for applications.
Lorenzana met in recent days with executives from Binarial, an innovative technology-based company with 100% Galician capital, dedicated to the development of proprietary robotics, automation solutions and industrial applications of artificial intelligence. The firm, headquartered in O Milladoiro (Ames, A Coruña), was one of the beneficiaries of Igape’s startup funding line over the last two years.
