The Regional Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, reaffirmed today the Xunta’s support for the automotive sector in its transition towards modernisation and sustainability.
Lorenzana visited this morning the facilities of the business group formed by AMG Metalmecánica Gallega, Aníbal Blanco Logistics & Transportes, and AMMI Technologies in the San Cibrao das Viñas industrial estate. There she explained that the parent company was a beneficiary of the extraordinary automotive industry aids launched by the Galician Government in 2024 “to support all companies in the reconversion and electrification of vehicles,” she said.
Within this framework, the Xunta is allocating more than 230 million euros to the automotive sector in the period 2024-2027 under the Master Plan and also through the extraordinary aid programme aimed at this industry to support it in the transition to electric mobility.
The Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, also highlighted the positive impact that the work carried out by this group of companies from Ourense, which have a strong industrial, technological and exporting component, has for the community.
Progress at the San Cibrao Business Park
Lorenzana also took the opportunity to announce that “we are about to finalise the procedures” to begin the urbanisation of the expansion of the San Cibrao das Viñas business park, “which is very important for all the companies here so that you can continue growing and have industrial land available,” she stated.
