The Official Gazette of Galicia has recently published the resolution approving the multidisciplinary workshops on digitalisation, innovation, sustainability and advanced logistics promoted by the Department of Economy and Industry through the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), which will enable the launch of 35 new collaborative projects across Galicia.

Through this programme, with a budget of over 630,000 euros, the Xunta is strengthening its support for the Galician business sector in its transition towards more innovative, digital and sustainable production models, fostering networking and cooperation between companies and organisations.

The aid covers 100% of eligible expenses and is aimed at intermediate business organisations such as clusters, confederations and sectoral associations, which serve as links between SMEs, large companies, technology centres and the public administration. More than 200 Galician companies are involved in the approved projects, working together to identify challenges and opportunities in the areas of innovation, digitalisation, the circular economy and advanced logistics.

Among the initiatives supported in this round are projects led by clusters and entities such as CEAGA, Viratec, Dihgigal, Bioga, the ICT Cluster, the Galician Food Cluster, the Confederation of Employers of Pontevedra and the Biomass Cluster, among others. These workshops will address key issues such as the use of artificial intelligence in the textile industry, cybersecurity in the naval sector, energy efficiency, traceability through RFID technologies, and the valorisation of raw materials such as Galician wool, among many other examples.

The objective is to encourage collaboration between companies to develop joint projects that could benefit from future support programmes, thereby consolidating an ecosystem based on innovation and networking.

Since its inception, the Igape programme has supported more than 190 workshops across Galicia, with total investment exceeding 3.4 million euros, helping Galician companies to adopt new technologies, sustainable processes and high‑impact competitive improvements.

With this new call, the Xunta reaffirms its commitment to an innovative, sustainable and globally‑minded Galician industry that sees digitalisation and cooperation as key drivers of growth and modernisation.
