Rueda highlights the role of entrepreneurs in creating wealth and quality employment

· He recalls the Galician Government’s commitment to business initiatives, with tools such as the Galician Economic Office to facilitate and reduce bureaucracy

· The regional administration promotes entrepreneurship with a network of hubs where advice can be received or with grants to launch startups

The President of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, today emphasised the role of entrepreneurs in generating quality employment in the community, stressing that they are “the ones who create wealth and who truly add value to their ideas”. During a visit to the facilities of D3 Applied Tech – a firm in Ames that develops technological solutions for competition vessels, the aerospace sector, renewable energies, industry, and the naval field – he recalled the Xunta’s commitment to business initiatives. Thus, he reminded that through the Galician Economic Office “we will try to accompany projects so that everything is agile and bureaucracy is not a problem”, also providing timely aid to “then multiply all opportunities”.

Accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, the president highlighted the Xunta’s firm commitment to retaining innovative talent and attracting investments. In this area, the regional administration has measures to encourage the launch of projects, such as the Network of Entrepreneurship Hubs – 14 centres spread throughout the community where entrepreneurs receive guidance and advice throughout the process; a line of grants for startup launch expenses – 1.5 million euros in the 2024 call; or a network of accelerators from which they aim to boost innovative projects through public-private collaboration, among other initiatives.

On the other hand, the regional government has been working for years to reduce and streamline the procedures that companies have to carry out when starting a business. For this, in addition to the Galician Economic Office, which acts as the sole channel to facilitate the procedures that entrepreneurs have to carry out, there are different lines of aid to promote innovation in the productive fabric or promote investments to renew and modernise their equipment.
