The Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape) welcomed this morning a group of around twenty students and teachers from the intermediate vocational training course in carpentry and furniture and the higher dual programme in design and furnishing at the Melide Secondary School, as part of the activities the school is developing within its Vocational Training Entrepreneurship Classroom.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the work carried out by Igape in supporting Galicia’s productive fabric while discovering the operations and facilities of the Economic Office of Galicia. There, the Office’s representatives explained that it “is a new channel to connect with companies and entrepreneurs, facilitating the establishment and development of business initiatives, promoting the reduction of bureaucracy and providing support to achieve a more accessible administration.”
This type of initiative, promoted by the Galician Government, aims to bring students closer to the different institutions of public administration so that they can gain first-hand knowledge of their functioning and their role in the region’s economic and social development. Through such visits, young people not only gain a better understanding of the functions of these institutions but also become familiar with the policies and resources available to support innovation, entrepreneurship and business activity in their environment.
