The Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, met today with the mayor of la Veiga, Juan Anta, with whom she discussed possible avenues of collaboration between the two administrations to promote economic growth in this municipality of Ourense, specifically in the forestry sector.
In this regard, Lorenzana and Anta analysed the possibility of boosting the forestry industry by making use of the natural resources available in this council of the Valdeorras region. The Minister of Economy and Industry recalled that both the Axencia Galega da Industria Forestal (Xera) and the Instituto Galego de Promoción Económica (Igape) have numerous aid programmes to support any initiative that generates wealth and employment. Furthermore, she highlighted the role of the Oficina Económica as the channel for all the resources and support that the Galician Government provides in this field.
