The Director General of Industrial Strategy and Business Land, Margarita Ardao, opened this morning the conference “Strategic Cooperation for a Digital European Sky”, organised by the Xunta de Galicia in collaboration with the SESAR Joint Undertaking, where she highlighted the strong capabilities of Galician companies to participate in European defence, security and aerospace projects and to attract investment in this sector.

The event focused on informing the business community about the opportunities offered by the Digital European Sky programme, the European aviation framework, regional synergy experiences, and set out the objectives, investment programmes and specific actions within the new Strategic Initiative in Security, Defence and Aerospace 2025-2030 promoted by the Xunta to ensure Galician organisations can benefit from the opportunities presented by the new international context.

Ardao invited the companies attending the conference to participate in the strategic dialogue launched by the Xunta de Galicia to identify the sector’s specific short-, medium- and long-term needs, in order to align the Initiative’s investment instruments with the ecosystem’s requirements. She reminded them that the deadline is open until 22 September.
