Santiago de Compostela, 13 November 2025

The Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) has today published the announcement from the Directorate-General for Industrial Strategy and Business Land, under the Ministry of Economy and Industry, for the acquisition of 33 plots on the Salvaterra-As Neves Logistics and Industrial Platform (Plisán). The Galician Government is making a total of 135,933 square metres available to the business sector, which can be acquired either outright or through the establishment of a surface right. The awarding system is by ascending auction in favour of whoever presents the most advantageous economic offer.

Interested companies have 20 working days, beginning tomorrow and ending on 12 December, to submit their offers for the selected plots, which are priced between 79.6 euros and 85.6 euros, with an average of 83.2 euros. In terms of size, the areas range from 1,786 m² for the smallest to 8,743 m² for the largest, although plots can be combined to reach a maximum area of 49,681 m².

Companies successful in the auction have a maximum period of three years, counted from the formalisation of the public deed of ownership, to begin activity on the acquired plot. In addition, they must carry out the activity for a minimum period of five years from its commencement and may not undertake sales, division or segregation operations during that same period.

In the case of companies acquiring a surface right, they must comply with the same conditions and pay the corresponding monthly fee, request authorisation from the Plisán promoters if they wish to transfer to third parties, and permit any inspections deemed necessary.

All documentation and requirements can be found on the Galician Land Management (Xestur) website: www.xesturgalicia.com.

More business land

Through this auction process, the three promoting entities (Xunta de Galicia, Vigo Free Trade Zone Consortium and Vigo Port Authority) are driving the commercialisation of Plisán’s business land, responding to the demand from businesses requiring industrial land to expand their capacity or establish new industries.

Currently, the entire Business Logistics Area is urbanised, with 59 industrial and commercial use plots totalling 411,684 m², already home to major canning, technology and logistics companies such as Conservas Albo, Frinsa, Lonza Biologics and the Arbinova Technology Group.

Meanwhile, the Xunta is advancing the project to urbanise the Plisán Multifunctional Industrial Area (MI), with a surface area of 1,072,773 square metres, intended for processing companies, own logistics centres and synergistic relations with the rest of the platform. In this regard, last July the contract was put out to tender for drawing up the Business Land Structural Planning Plan (PEOSE), with a duration of 16 months. With the commissioning of this Multifunctional Industrial Area, Plisán will increase from 3,150,094 m² to almost 4.2 million square metres.
