Santiago de Compostela, 19 August 2025

The Ministry of Economy and Industry, through Igape, has just published in the Official Journal of Galicia (DOG) the resolution of the call for aid to innovative business groups (clusters). This support totals nearly 2 million euros and will help to support a total of 19 projects in key areas of the Galician economy.

The programme aims to boost competitiveness, innovation and business cooperation by supporting clusters that bring together companies and technological, research or training centres. The objective is to highlight their role as drivers of the modernisation of the productive fabric and as channels for the transfer of knowledge and technology.

The aid, granted under a competitive basis, may cover up to 70% of the eligible cost, with a maximum amount of 400,000 euros per project. Furthermore, advances of up to 80% of the granted aid are allowed without requiring guarantees.

The call includes actions such as conducting studies and diagnostics on value chains, technological surveillance platforms, market prospecting, sectoral mapping or dissemination and awareness campaigns on topics such as digitalisation, sustainability or internationalisation. It also includes initiatives to foster collaboration between companies and sectors, promoting the hybridisation of knowledge and capabilities.

Beneficiaries in the resolved call include representative entities from strategic and emerging sectors such as automotive (CEAGA), aquaculture, wood, biotechnology (Bioga), audiovisual, circular economy (Viratec), sport, communication or the ICT sector. Industrial clusters such as naval (Aclunaga), metal (ASIME), textile or biomass are also included.

With the resolution of this latest call, the Xunta has already supported nearly 70 cluster initiatives since the launch of this programme, with public funding exceeding 12 million euros and an investment mobilised of more than 20 million.

Thus, the Xunta reaffirms its commitment to an advanced industrial policy, positioning clusters as driving agents of change and strategic allies in the modernisation of the Galician business fabric.
