The Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, concluded her trip to Japan today with a visit to the Spanish Commercial Office in the country, where she reaffirmed the Xunta’s objective of making Galicia a hub for attracting industrial investment.
In a meeting with the Chief Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Gonzalo Ramos, Lorenzana discussed the economic and industrial policy being developed in Galicia, fundamentally based on reducing bureaucracy to attract investment in key areas such as renewable energies.
In this regard, she highlighted the role of the Economic Office of Galicia as an interlocutor body between the Galician Government and companies, also internationally, responsible for closely monitoring the needs of the business fabric and providing personalised and comprehensive advisory services.
In that sense, she pointed out that “any project interested in establishing itself in Galicia will find on the other side an Administration ready and willing to offer solutions and guarantees,” one of the premises she wished to emphasise in each of the meetings she held during her stay in Japan.
Finally, Lorenzana did not want to leave Japan without visiting the Igape antenna in the country, where she took the opportunity to congratulate the staff for their good work supporting the internationalisation initiatives of Galician companies.
