The Xunta’s regional representative in Pontevedra, Pablo Fernández, today visited the A Uceira industrial estate in A Cañiza, where the Xunta has allocated €38,600 to improve the energy efficiency of the estate’s street lighting.
The project forms part of the Xunta’s grants for developing and upgrading industrial estate infrastructure, aimed at modernising these sites and improving conditions for the businesses operating there.
During the visit, Fernández highlighted the importance of continued investment in industrial estates, describing them as “essential spaces for supporting economic activity and job creation in municipalities”. He also emphasised the value of working with local councils to develop more efficient industrial areas tailored to businesses’ needs.
A total of 12 projects will be carried out across Pontevedra province under this grant scheme, with investment exceeding €900,000.
