Municipality in the comarca of Ulloa, linked to Santiago de Compostela by the N-547 road. Its economy is intricately linked to the service sector, to meet the demands of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela. The municipality has a business park that already has two urbanised zones, with a total surface area of more than 73,000 square metres, and the development of an extension corresponding to the third phase is planned, with an investiment of around 1.5 million euros. The company Altri is studying the implementation in the municipality os a textile fibre factory, declared as a strategic industrial project by the Xunta de Galicia.
