The Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, participated this morning in a working session at the Igape headquarters, where she took the opportunity to review the credit access line for SMEs and self-employed workers for the 2020-2024 period. She also previewed the main points of the new 2025 call.
At the event, attended by major financial entities and Reciprocal Guarantee Societies (SGR), Lorenzana highlighted that in the past financial year, this line mobilized a total of 144 million euros.
The Galician Government allocates 19 million euros this year to this initiative, which will enable over a thousand operations. In this way, the aids are expected to have an impact on financial operations that could reach 150 million euros in 2025.
On the other hand, the session reviewed the results of the aid line for the 2020-2024 period. Lorenzana, accompanied by Igape’s director Covadonga Toca, highlighted the more than 4,920 Galician SMEs and self-employed individuals who were able to benefit from the credits and noted that this programme allowed the mobilization of a total amount of 389 million euros.
