The Regional Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, today highlighted Televés’s technological capabilities and invited the company to join the Xunta’s Security, Defence and Aerospace Strategy, which aims to promote new projects and industrial investments in these sectors.
This afternoon, Lorenzana met with the company’s CEO, Gonzalo Redondo, whose firm specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of telecommunications equipment, as part of an ongoing series of meetings with various companies to identify investment objectives for the defence, security and aerospace industries in Galicia.
Through the strategy devised by the Xunta for these sectors, which will involve an investment of €183 million between now and 2030, the goal is to drive the growth of companies that make up this industry in the region, attract new ones, and strengthen Galicia’s technological and productive capacities in this field.
It is expected that in 2026 the first call for tenders will be published, with a budget of €83 million, to determine which companies and technology centres will work on joint investment programmes with the Xunta de Galicia over the next five years.
So far, within the strategic dialogue opened with the industry, 79 investment projects have been identified, 40 of which are related to the expansion or establishment of new production lines in Galicia.
In addition, at the beginning of next year, two calls for grants totalling €8 million will also be published to support the positioning of Galician companies as suppliers of defence and security technology, and to foster the development and industrialisation of products and systems based on dual-use technologies.
