The Regional Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, highlighted today the financial support that the Xunta is providing this year to Galician businesses with a credit access grant line that is currently open for applications for an amount of 19 M€.
Accompanied by the Director of the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion, Covadonga Toca, Lorenzana visited Panificadora Mencer today, a Special Employment Centre that has been operating for 12 years, where more than thirty people work, over 95 per cent of whom have some degree of disability.
Panificadora Mencer, which the Regional Minister described as “an example of a company that performs a very important social function insofar as it helps the labour market insertion of people with disabilities”, was a beneficiary of this Xunta support line. A support line that is among those published by the Igape at the beginning of the year for a total amount of almost 181 million euros and which already have their application deadlines open.
The credit access line is open until 30 September and offers subsidised loans from three to 15 years for productive investments or working capital (land, facilities, equipment, research, intellectual property, current capital, etc.). The amount ranges from 3,000 to 1 M€. They may also be used for the payment or restructuring of debts. As regards loans for guarantees to third parties, the amount is also between 3,000 and 1 M€ for one year.
“Businesses and the self-employed can already apply for the main support lines that the Xunta (through the Igape) has available this year, for financing, internationalisation, competitiveness or innovation and digitalisation, which are where the biggest challenges for businesses currently lie,” she concluded.
