The Regional Minister for Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, highlighted today the role that the regional administration should play as an ally of the companies that want to set up in Galicia, investing in business land, strengthening infrastructures, simplifying procedures and promoting innovation.
She made this point during her speech at the event for the presentation of the awards of the Association of Galician Businesspeople in Madrid (Aegama), which this year were awarded to the founder and Chairman of Ecoener, Luis de Valdivia, recognised as Galician Businessperson of the Year in Galicia; and to the Managing Partner of Alsis Funds, David Sánchez-Tembleque, who received the award for Galician Businessperson of the Year Outside Galicia.
She acknowledged both of their careers and described them as examples of the fact that “when there is managerial talent, there are leading companies”.
