- The Director General for Industrial Strategy and Business Premises, Margarita Ardao, and the Xunta’s territorial delegate in A Coruña, Belén do Campo, analysed the distribution of the future plots that are being designed to meet demand
Carballo (A Coruña), 10 December 2025
The Director General for Industrial Strategy and Business Premises, Margarita Ardao, met today with the entrepreneurs of the Coruñés municipality of Carballo to inform them of the progress on the urbanisation and expropriation projects for the expansion of the Bértoa business park, which, once the works are completed, will increase its surface area by 51%.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the Xunta’s territorial delegate in A Coruña, Belén do Campo, the distribution of the future plots being designed to facilitate the consolidation of companies demanding large areas in the zone was analysed with the Carballo Industrial Estate Business Association.
Together with the project drafting team, Ardao recalled that the Bértoa business park Phase II expansion plan will increase the industrial land area by 629,587 m², 51% more than its current capacity of 1,236,327 m².
The action being developed has a budgeted cost of €28.2 million and is part of the Xunta de Galicia’s strategy to create a strong, competitive and environmentally friendly business fabric that attracts investment, promotes job creation and ensures territorial balance. If the deadlines go as planned, the works will begin in 2027 with an execution period of 18 months.
A Coruña, almost two million more square metres
The expansion of the Bértoa business park complements other actions being promoted by the Galician Government in the province of A Coruña, such as the Cabana de Bergantiños business park, the expansion of the Sionlla business park (Santiago de Compostela) or the urbanisation of the final phases of the Morás business park in Arteixo. In total, they add up to almost two million square metres of business land.
