The Xunta’s Territorial Delegate in Ferrol, Martina Aneiros, together with the Territorial Director for Economy and Industry, Isidoro Martínez, visited this morning the facilities of Grupo Tecnológico Artabria as part of the new call for grants for the digital transformation of SMEs. During the visit, the regional representative was able to learn about the work carried out by the company, which benefited from these grants last year.
Aneiros explained that this scheme, promoted by the Regional Ministry of Economy and Industry through the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), includes different types of projects, namely: digital interfaces and channels for commercial and operational interaction with third parties; digitalisation and automation of processes; integrated management systems; ESG supported by technology; improvement of the logistics function; and cybersecurity for the company’s digital operations. It is precisely within this latter area that the project developed by Artabria falls, which, under the name Investing in a Secure Future, seeks to implement cybersecurity solutions for the protection of data and systems against cyber threats, as well as to interconnect physical devices and virtual systems in order to optimise processes and improve decision-making.
As noted by the delegate, this call, co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Galicia ERDF 2021–2027 programme, has a budget of €3 million and remains open for applications until 10 July. “With these grants, the Galician Government aims to promote the digitalisation of our business fabric, encouraging an innovative and intelligent economic transformation driven by SMEs, which represent a large part of our economy,” Aneiros stated. In the previous call, six companies within the Delegate’s area benefited from these grants, receiving a total of nearly 74,800 euros.
