What is a VERI*FACTU system?

A VERI*FACTU system is an invoicing IT system that:

  • Complies with all mandatory requirements of the technical regulation (record keeping, signature, immutability, etc.).
  • In addition, it automatically and in real time sends invoicing records to the AEAT electronically.
  • It is identified as such with the Tax Administration.

Using this submission channel is voluntary, but those who do so must follow a specific communication protocol with the AEAT (API, digital certificate, event log, etc.).

And a non-VERI*FACTU system?

A non-VERI*FACTU system is a system that:

  • Also complies with the technical obligations of the regulation (structured records, signature, traceability, event logging, etc.).
  • But it is not connected to nor does it send information in real time to the AEAT.
  • It keeps the records internally and can provide them to the AEAT when requested.

This is the default scenario for most companies, especially smaller ones or those that do not wish to share data immediately.
