The Galician Regional Government presents its Strategic Initiative for Security, Defence and Aerospace in Seville, aimed at boosting new high value-added economic sectors

The Director General for Industrial Strategy and Business Land, Margarita Ardao, highlighted this afternoon the opportunities offered by dual-use technologies to promote high value-added projects in the fields of security and defense and to position Galicia as a leading region in this area. According to Ardao, these projects also help create quality employment and build a stronger, more diversified, and more competitive ecosystem, capable of attracting new stakeholders and generating collaboration opportunities across the entire value chain.

The Director General took part this afternoon in the round table discussion Dual-Use in the Defense Industry, held as part of the New Space & Solutions 2026 conference, which took place at the La Cartuja Auditorium in Seville. During the event, she also presented the Strategic Initiative for Security, Defense and Aerospace Horizon 2030, approved by the Galician Government last summer, which aims to mobilize more than €900 million through public-private collaboration.
